As design changes and grows with technology advancements and the times, we're seeing new disciplines emerge and evolve as they become integral parts of the field. When user experience first came to be, the design community struggled to understand it's purpose, how to incorporate it alongside existing design processes and whether it was even neccesary. Today we see it as a must-have for product teams, design agencies and development shops of all shapes and sizes.
Join us at StartUp Harrisburg for an evening of shop talk moderated by Nick Setthachayanon. We'll be chatting with Lissa Richards, Director of Customer Experience at Red Privet, Andrew Jacobs, User Experience Architect and Strategist at Williams Forrest, Teresa Van Wagner, User Experience Design Director at Neo-Pangea, and Jamie Hess, UX/UI Designer at Listrak to learn about how they incorporate UX in their companies, what a typical UX process might look like for them, how they got interested in the field, and how attendees can begin to make UX a more important part of what they do. We'll even have time for some Q&A at the end, and are accepting questions as we lead up to the event.
We're excited to announce A Book Apart and JFC Global as event sponsors.
A Book Apart produces brief books on various topics important to designers and front end developers, ranging from HTML5, to strategy, to research and the latest in web design. We're excited to raffle off an ebook of choice to 5 attendees.
As a leader in the staffing industry, JFC Global specializes in placing professional candidates into both contract & direct hire positions within the IT, Accounting/Finance, and Engineering disciplines.
Note: Please be advised that all sales are final with no refunds unless AIGA Central Pennsylvania cancels the event. However, tickets are transferable, so tell a friend to come as you if you are unable to attend. Lastly, any student purchasing a Student Ticket must provide a valid School I.D. at the door.
