...if you've ever wanted to make your own font for a project (or even just for fun!) and don't have the software, here's your opportunity to bring those graph paper typography sketches to life.

The Aspen Design Challenge calls for multidisciplinary teams of students to demonstrate the power of design thinking in addressing global problems and to raise awareness of the need for fresh water. AIGA sent a draft brief to faculty around the world, encouraging the assignment of this project for next semester. Selected projects will be presented at the Aspen Institute, and finalists will refine their ideas in Copenhagen in summer 2009.
