Adam DelMarcelle on “Design Activism: Understanding Your Responsibility” at York College

Past AIGA Central Pennsylvania board member, Adam DelMarcelle, will be speaking at York College on April 24th in Demeester Hall from 6:00pm – 8:30pm about his “What Heroin Sounds Like” campaign, that has now garnered national attention. The event is free to the public and does not require prior registration.

He is focusing his current on design activism and the role design thinking plays in solving larger societal issues. The work created for the “What Heroin Sounds Like” campaign has garnered national attention, allowing Adam to travel widely spreading awareness of the heroin and opioid crisis ravaging our communities as well as the understanding that change begins with a solitary action but is sustained when one fully commits to the betterment of their community.

DelMarcelle serves as an adjunct professor at York College of Pennsylvania, Lebanon Valley College, and Kutztown University. He is also an MFA candidate at the Vermont College of Fine Art.
