Mikey Burton: A Designy Illustration Workshop

Whether you are brainstorming a logo, designing a new app, or starting on an editorial illustration, one of the most important steps in the creative process is sketching. A simple sketch can help guide your process, get sign off from an art director or even save you rounds of painful revisions. We live in an almost completely digital age where 99.99% of our work is done on the computer mostly because it’s the easiest and quickest place to start. What’s lost with that? Good ideas are born before we pick up the mouse and start pushing pixels around. Ideas should communicate in a simple form, and if an idea doesn’t work as a sketch, there’s no online Photoshop tutorial that can polish a bad idea.

All attendees will receive an exclusive limited edition AIGA notebook. Please be sure to bring whatever sort of writing utensil you prefer as well. This event is limited to 20 attendees.

If you are an existing AIGA Member, please go through our site first for accurate ticket pricing for your membership level. Membership status is authenticated from AIGA and then redirected to Eventbrite.

Sales are final with no refunds unless AIGA Central Pennsylvania cancels the event. However, tickets are transferable, so tell a friend to come as you if you are unable to attend.
