PCAD students, alumni, faculty and community members know this week’s featured designer pretty well. An AIGA Central PA member since 2008, Pam Barby is currently the department chair and an assistant professor at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design.

What advice do you have for our members & community?
You can’t go wrong if you are a hard worker, enthusiastic, and willing to learn. Be yourself and keep it simple.
Why design?
The challenge of problem solving and creating never gets dull. Design can be so empowering and that is a very rewarding feeling.
Favorite part of the job?
As a professor… working with the students. As a designer… satisfying a client’s needs.
