Help us paint this wall.

This summer AIGA Central PA will kick of a new initiative. A big one. One that gives our Chapter the opportunity to be a part of a permanent visual statement in the community. It’s gonna be big, beautiful, & brand new to us, and we want your help.

This spring we were presented with the opportunity to create a mural in downtown Lancaster. We have a big, blank 20’ x 60’ wall on North Prince Street. Now it’s time to figure out the details, and we’re looking for input and involvement from the community as we move forward.

Why are we doing this? In short, we think design is awesome. We think big public works of art are awesome. Central PA? Awesome too. So let’s be loud and proud about it. Lancaster City is alive with entrepreneurial spirit and a vibrant creative culture. Making it a great place to house a mural by AIGA Central PA that helps communicate the value of design & creativity, inspires innovation, and motivates change for good.

We’re going to need your help to pull it off. We’re giving ourselves a year to figure out all the details and we’re getting the ball rolling this June. Join us for the kick off meeting on Wednesday, August 10 at 5:30pm. We’ll be meeting at the building which will serve as our canvas along with the building owner and the volunteers to begin discussions and planning. Register now to get involved.
